The
tee shot from the 17th provides a classic "risk and reward" dilemma for
many golfers. A burn cuts across the fairway at about 200 yards,
and if you choose to lay up short of this, it is still a long short to
the green. |
Many will be able to carry the burn,
particularly with a favourable wind however if you are too far right, a
line of trees comes into play. |
From the tee, any wild hook will land
you in another burn, or out of bounds on the practice ground.
Once over the burn it is a nice
approach into a large green. The burn on the left must still be
considered as well as a couple of bunkers around the green on this side.
Not the easiest of greens to put on with plenty of borrow and slope to
be read. IMAGES TO FOLLOW |
