HomeBack                            17th Hole - Bog's Burn

Par 4  - 367 Yards

The tee shot from the 17th provides a classic "risk and reward" dilemma for many golfers.  A burn cuts across the fairway at about 200 yards, and if you choose to lay up short of this, it is still a long short to the green.

Many will be able to carry the burn, particularly with a favourable wind however if you are too far right, a line of trees comes into play.

From the tee, any wild hook will land you in another burn, or out of bounds on the practice ground.

Once over the burn it is a nice approach into a large green. The burn on the left must still be considered as well as a couple of bunkers around the green on this side. Not the easiest of greens to put on with plenty of borrow and slope to be read.
