From the tee a burn transects the
open fairway at around 200 yards. A classic "risk or reward" tee shot as
laying up short of the burn will always be safe, but leaves a much
longer second shot, and with water to the right of the green, it can be
daunting. Longer hitters can
clear the burn but the target area is smaller, with a clump of trees on
the left, and another burn to the right.
If you drive safely over the water,
your approach to the green is open, and much shorter.
Miss the green on the left, it will
often run down onto the putting surface.
Miss right however and you will find
the pond or the stream - if you are lucky you may find one of the
bunkers to the right of the green stops your ball from getting wet! |
