As Club Captain, I am delighted to be able to offer this facility to our members, visitors, guests and potential new members. Founded in 1893 and originally located in Giffnock to the south of Glasgow, Eastwood has existed at its current location near Newton Mearns since 1937. More recently, the course was modified in 2003, when part of the previous course was the subject of a compulsory purchase order to accommodate the extension of the M77 motorway.
As a private club, Eastwood has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for visitors and guests alike, offering excellent facilities. The course is a challenging 6,071 yards from the white tees over 18 holes of undulating moorland, with a par of 70. We have practice facilities including a range, chipping green and practice bunkers, pitching green, as well as two putting greens, all of which are available to our members and visitors and where our Professional, Stuart Wilson, can provide excellent tuition.
We are delighted to welcome groups of visitors for outings, by prior arrangement, and have flexible packages incorporating golf and meals to suit all requirements. Our club steward and caterers, Nigel & Janice Sinnamon will be delighted to cater for your needs. Our “Halfway House” is also available as a welcome facility between the tenth green and eleventh tee, and can be used for hospitality by prior arrangement.
The clubhouse can offer a wide variety of accommodation from formal meals for up to 90 people or for smaller more intimate numbers, depending on your requirements. Our hope is that your experience of Eastwood leaves you with a desire to come back to visit us again.
